Authorities Investigate After Body Found Near Suburban Golf Course

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A body was found Thursday near the entrance of a golf course in the northwest suburb of Bensenville.

Around 8:15 a.m. Thursday morning, a Bensenville Park District employee discovered a deceased body outside White Pines Golf Club, 500 W. Jefferson St., in unincorporated DuPage County.

The body was identified as a 37-year-old woman, said to be a victim of a suspected homicide that occurred earlier Thursday morning in the 11500 block of Grand Avenue, in unincorporated Cook County, said Cook County Sheriff's Office after investigation.

Both DuPage and Cook County Sheriffs' Departments are conducting an ongoing death investigation.

An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.
