Aurora To Raise National Flag Of Mexico In Honor Of Mexican Independence Day

CHICAGO (CBS) -- For the first time ever, the national flag of Mexico will be raised in downtown Aurora.
The Mexican flag will be flown at One Aurora Plaza at North Island Center in honor of Mexican Independence Day and Hispanic Heritage Month.
Celebrations are already underway. Dancers performed at the Hispanic Pioneers Breakfast on Wednesday.
Aurora has a large Mexican community, with an overall Latino population of about 43%.
