Aurora Police Release Surveillance Photos Of Suspects In Armed Robbery Of Cell Phone Store
(CBS) -- Aurora police have released surveillance photos of three men they say robbed a cell phone store at gunpoint last week.
Shortly after 8 p.m. on Aug. 14, two employees at the AT&T cell phone store in the 2300 block of North Farnsworth Avenue were approached by two of the suspects who announced a robbery. At least one of the suspects was armed.
The employees were led into a backroom and joined by a third suspect. The suspects then stole $33,000 worth of phones, tablets and other merchandise after getting a key to a room where new merchandise was stored.
Police say they suspects fled in what appeared to be a champagne or golf-colored Chevorlet Blazer and may have had a second vehicle, believed to be an older, red two-door Honda Civic with a rear window painted black and a white cross or emblem on it.
One suspects is described as 5'6", between 18-23 with long, black hair, a tattoo on the left side of his neck and sported studded earrings and wearing a white shirt, dark pants and beige floppy hat. A second suspect is described as 5'8" and in his early 20s and wearing a black T-shirt, light colored jeans and a black hat. The third suspect is described as a man in his early 20s, 6'0" tall, with short black hair, a beige shirt with blue stripes and blue jeans.
