Attempted Bank Robbery Reported In Irving Park

CHICAGO (CBS) --  The FBI is investigating an attempted bank robbery Saturday morning in the Irving Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

A male attempted to rob the U.S. Bank branch at 3515 W. Irving Park Road at 9:29 a.m., according to FBI spokesman Garrett Croon. The incident was a non-takeover robbery attempt.

The suspect was described as a 6-foot black male between 180 and 190 pounds, according to the FBI. He was wearing a cap and a dark sweater.
