As Expected, Dan Haren Is Retiring

(CBS) Cubs right-hander Dan Haren confirmed Wednesday night that he will retire after a 13-year MLB career.

Haren, 35, posted a tweet after Chicago was swept by the New York Mets in the NLCS, reiterating what he'd previously said was his plan.

Haren wasn't on the Cubs' postseason roster in any round after he was traded to Chicago in late July. He went 4-2 with a 4.02 ERA with the Cubs this season.

Haren will retire with 153 career wins.
