Panarin, Anisimov, Teravainen Tabbed To Play In World Cup Of Hockey

(CBS) Blackhawks standouts Artemi Panarin, Artem Anisimov and Teuvo Teravainen have been tabbed by their respective countries to play in the World Cup of Hockey that will be held in September.

Panarin and Anisimov will play for their native Russia, while Teravainen will play for Finland, it was announced Wednesday. Team USA and Canada will reveal their rosters later Wednesday, so more Blackhawks figure to be selected as well to play in the eight-team tournament that begins Sept. 17.

Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville will be an assistant for Canada, while general manager Stan Bowman a manager for Team North America, a squad of players 23 and younger from USA and Canada.
