Arrest Warrant Issued For Michigan City Mayor Ron Meer

CHICAGO (CBS)-- Police have issued an arrest warrant for Michigan City Mayor Ron Meer.

This comes after Meer was charged with five counts of intimidation, two counts of false informing and one count of official misconduct.

The charges stem from accusations that Meer lied to investigators and intimidated police officers who arrested his stepson on drug charges. Meer has denied the allegations.

Earlier this month, he lost a bid for a third term.
