Armed Robbery, Car Theft Reported In Ukrainian Village

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man in Ukrainian Village was robbed at gunpoint and the offenders briefly stole his car on Thursday night.

Three black male suspects robbed the 51-year-old as he was exiting his car around 11:10 p.m.

The victim was hit in the back and the trio stole the car.

At the same time, a 24-year-old female was walking past and was knocked down and robbed.

Police were called to the 2000 block of West Thomas and tried to stop suspects in the stolen car.

The offenders ran from the vehicle and got away.

The woman's purse was found inside the vehicle.

Both victims refused medical treatment.
