Armed Robberies Reported In Irving Park, Albany Park

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police are warning residents about a series of armed robberies reported earlier this month in the Irving Park and Albany Park neighborhoods on the North Side.

In each hold-up, one or two men have walked up to victims on the street and demanded their property while pointing a handgun at them, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

The robberies occurred:

In the 3800 block of North Hamlin at 1:30 a.m. Nov. 9;
In the 4600 block of North Pulaski at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 9;
In the 2700 block of West Wilson at 10 p.m. Nov. 12; and
In the 3300 block of North Avers at 12:15 a.m. Nov. 15.
The suspects were described as two black men between 18 and 20 years old, standing 5-foot-7 to 6 feet tall and weighing 150-170 pounds, police said. They were both wearing dark-colored clothing.
