Arlington International Racecourse Plans To Lay Off 237 Employees Next Month

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (CBS) -- Arlington International Racecourse has notified the State of Illinois of its plans to lay off 237 employees next month.

Churchill Downs, which owns Arlington, plans to sell the property.

The final race will be held on Sept. 25.

The Chicago Bears are among the organizations that have placed a bid on the 326-acre property.
