Wind chills Wednesday morning will still be at -10 to -20.

After the advisory ends, we turn our attention to a quick-moving snow maker that takes shape Wednesday. Snow showers develop during the day with minor accumulations, tapering off at night.

CBS

A dusting to one inch of snow is expected. The snow will slow down the afternoon and evening rush Wednesday.

Further, since a polar cold air mass is in place, roads will be slick making for hazardous travel. This is especially true after dark.

CBS

On Thursday, flurries in the morning will be followed by mixed skies.

The high both Wednesday and Thursday will be a still-below-freezing, but relatively mild 24.

Temperatures rise as we reach for the weekend. Ice jams are likely as we transition to a milder trend of weather.
