April Showers A Trend For Most Of The Next Week

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Keep the umbrella handy the next several days.

While no severe storms are expected anytime soon, showers and scattered thunderstorms are possible through much of the afternoon on Friday, though conditions should be dry by the afternoon rush.

Thursday's high will be about 62, which is above normal this time of year, but cooler air is waiting.

Temperatures will drop below normal overnight, down to the low 40s, and won't get much better on Friday, as the high will be only about 44, and that likely will happen before dawn, with temperatures dropping throughout the day.

Scattered showers are possible again on Friday, and while Saturday should be sunny, with temperatures in the low 50s, rain returns to the forecast on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
