Amazon Launches Same-Day Delivery In Chicago

CHICAGO (CBS) -- If next-day delivery isn't fast enough for you, Amazon is now offering delivery of certain items within an hour or two.

It's called Amazon Prime NOW.

The service, on orders of $15 or more, is currently available in the 60614, 60610, 60654, 60622, 60642 ZIP codes. More areas are coming soon, the company says.

Amazon Prime members can order from the dedicated Prime NOW app.

Among the available items: Toilet paper, sunscreen, various baby essentials, a Chicago Cubs dog collar, an Apple TV box, milk, eggs, yogurt and much more.

One-hour delivery costs $7.99 and two-hour delivery is free.

The service is only available to customers who have paid the $99 annual fee for Amazon Prime service.
