Algonquin Man Dies After Falling From Balcony In Lincoln Park

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A northwest suburban man died after he fell from a balcony Sunday in the North Side Lincoln Park neighborhood.

Tristan Scholly, 21, fell from the balcony of a building about 2:30 a.m. in the 1900 block of North Sedgwick, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner's office.

Scholly was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 4:47 p.m., the medical examiner's office said. An autopsy for Scholly, who lived in the 400 block of North Harrison in Algonquin, found he died of injuries he suffered in the fall and his death was ruled an accident.

A police source said Scholly was drinking alcohol before he fell.

The case was still under investigation by Area Central detectives on Thursday afternoon.
