Chicago Area Hospitals Welcome The First Babies Of 2022

CHICAGO (CBS) – Hospitals around the Chicago area are announcing the first babies of the year.

In Portage Park, Advocate Health sent out pictures announcing its first baby born in 2022. Kailani was born right at midnight. He weighs 6 pounds, 7 ounces.

His parents, Deney Perez and Carlos Morales, along with three brothers welcomed the new addition to the family.

Rush University Medical Center announced baby boy Ocean Bleu, who was born at 4:26 a.m. to Rshana Moret of Oak Lawn. Ocean weighs 6 pounds and 14 ounces and is 16 inches long.

NorthShore Evanston Hospital also announce a baby born at 2:25 a.m. Esther Vazquez Ramos and Froylan Estrada of Chicago welcomed baby Hannah Eliette, who is 7 pounds, 9 ounces.

She is the family's second child and was also welcomed by her 21-month-old sister, Hadassah.
