Addison Russell Leaves Game With Hamstring Tightness

By Chris Emma--

CHICAGO (CBS) --  In legging out a fourth-inning triple, Cubs shortstop Addison Russell experienced tightness in his left hamstring and was removed from Game 3 of the NLDS against the Cardinals.

Initial word from the Cubs confirmed the hamstring tightness. Javier Baez came in to replace Russell at shortstop.

Running in Russell's place, Baez was stranded at third base to end the fourth inning. No further updates on Russell's status are expected until after the game.

The Cubs and Cardinals were tied 2-2 at the time of Russell's injury in the fourth inning.
