Abbott Labs Has New Rapid Test For COVID-19

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Abbott Labs is speeding up the COVID-19 testing process.

The FDA approved a new rapid test developed by Abbott that can deliver results in five minutes. The ID Now tests will be available next week.

The company expects to produce 50,000 tests per day and eventually up to 5 million per month.
