A Joe Maddon Cameo On 'Curb Your Enthusiasm'? It Could Happen

(CBS) Cubs manager Joe Maddon could be making an appearance on primetime television.

On a Tuesday in which news broke that the HBO comedy "Curb Your Enthusiasm" would be returning, Maddon said he's interested in taking up actor/producer Jeff Garlin's invitation to make a cameo on the show.

An avid Cubs fan and Chicago native, Garlin earlier on Tuesday had told ESPN Radio that he wanted Maddon to appear on the show.

"I promised him," Garlin told ESPN Radio. "I'm being very public about it. I'll do my best to get him on. And when I say 'do my best,' I think it will happen. And it's during the offseason, so we'll do it."

Maddon was happy to hear that.

"If he said he's going to make it happen, we'll make it happen," Maddon told the Tribune.

"Curb Your Enthusiasm" is usually shot in January and February, which is prior to the start of baseball spring training. The show hasn't aired since 2011.
