9-Year-Old Girl Gets Surprise Birthday Parade In Barrington

CHICAGO (CBS)--  A post on social media, calling for a birthday surprise parade was answered for a Barrington girl name Scarlett  celebrating her ninth birthday.

Communities are finding clever and safe ways to make a child feel loved on their special day.

Scarlett said enjoyed watching everyone go down the street for the first time in a while.

"I felt really happy and excited," she said.

Family and friends rolled by with birthday wishes and some stopped to drop off a gift.
