72-Year-Old Man Realizes He Won $200K Lotto A Month Later, Will Spend Money On His Wedding

(STMW) -- A 72-year-old man who purchased a winning $200,000 Lucky Day Lotto ticket didn't realize he had won until a month later.

"I forgot all about it," said the winner, Bill Brady.

Brady remembered about the ticket when he opened his wallet at a West Chicago gas station. He checked it and saw that he had won.

The Feb. 24 winning ticket was sold at 7-Eleven, 1500 Illinois Route 59 in Bartlett, and matched all five numbers: 11 – 15 – 37 – 41 – 43.

Brady said he plans to use a portion of his winnings toward his wedding, which is this spring.

The retailer will receive $2,000, or 1 percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket.
