7-Year-Old Girl Pinned Under Car In NW Side Crash

(STMW) -- A 7-year-old girl was pinned under a car after a Belmont Cragin neighborhood crash that injured another pedestrian.

About 7:25 p.m., two vehicles collided in the 2500 block of North Laramie, striking the girl and a 45-year-old man who were crossing the street, according to Chicago Police.

Responding officers and Good Samaritans nearby freed the girl from under one of the cars, police said.

She and the man were taken to Stroger Hospital, where their conditions stabilized, police said.

One of the drivers was cited for failure to yield, police said.
