7 People Injured As Semi And Minivan Collide On Edens Spur

(STMW)-- All lanes have reopened on the Edens Spur following a crash involving a semi and a minivan that left seven people hospitalized Tuesday afternoon near north suburban Northbrook.

Illinois State Police are investigating the crash, which occurred about 4:45 p.m. on I-94 eastbound near Lee Road.

The crash involved a 1999 Volvo semi tractor and a 2015 Chrysler Town & County. A total of seven people were injured, police said. Four were taken to Highland Park Hospital and three to Glenbrook Hospital, all with non-life threatening injuries.

After a temporary closure, of all lanes of the Edens spur at Lee had reopened as of 5:30 p.m., ISP said.
