58-Year-Old Man Dies After Chicago Heights Crash
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A 58-year-old man died Sunday night after he was involved in a crash in south suburban Chicago Heights.
Derrick Welch Sr. was involved in a motor vehicle crash at 14th and State streets in Chicago Heights, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
Welch, of the 14600 block of Lakeside Avenue in Dolton, died at 8:14 p.m. Sunday, according to the medical examiner's office.
An autopsy Monday found he died of blunt force trauma of the head and neck in a motor vehicle crash, and his death was ruled an accident.
Chicago Heights police did not immediately respond to messages seeking information about the crash.
