56-Year-Old Woman Shot In Wrightwood Neighborhood

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A 56-year-old woman was shot in the leg Saturday afternoon in the Wrightwood neighborhood, according to Chicago Police.
The woman was standing on the sidewalk in the 7900 block of South California Avenue when she heard gunshots and suffered a wound in her left leg.
She was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center and remains in good condition.
Police say the woman does not appear to be an intended target.
Area Central Detectives are investigating.
