5 Cubs Still In Line To Star All-Star Game

(CBS) Five Cubs players remain in line to start for the National League in the All-Star Game.

With more than 1.26 million votes, first baseman Anthony Rizzo leads everyone on the NL ballot and has a massive lead at his position. Ben Zobrist leads at second base (more than 1.14 million votes), Addison Russell leads at shortstop (832,191), Kris Bryant leads at third base (more than 1.17 million) and Dexter Fowler leads all outfielders (1.17 million).

Rizzo, Zobrist, Bryant and Fowler have big leads. Russell's lead is smaller, as he's about 118,000 votes ahead of Rockies shortstop Trevor Story.

Rizzo's 42 RBIs are in tied for second in the NL, while Bryant's 41 RBIs put him at fifth. Each has 13 homers, tied for eighth in the NL. Bryant's 42 runs are second.

Zobrist's .435 on-base percentage leads the league and tied for third in runs at 40. Fowler is fourth in on-base percentage at .422 and fourth in OPS at .939.

Fans elect the position-player starters, while managers and players select the rest of the All-Star rosters, save for one final fan vote for the last reserve in each league.

Cubs right-hander Jake Arrieta is also a lock to make the All-Star Game, which is July 12 in San Diego, but pitchers aren't voted on by fans.
