Chicago Shooting: 4 shot in alley on South Side

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Four people were shot in an alley on Chicago's South Side Monday night.

Officers responded to a call of shots fired in the 6100 block of South Justine around 9:11 p.m. and found the victims.

They included a 35-year-old man who was shot twice in the head and died; a 60-year-old woman who was shot in the head and taken to Holy Cross Hospital in critical condition; a 52-year-old who was shot in the right thigh and taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition; and a 64-year-old man who was shot in the right forearm and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition.

Witnesses told police they saw an unknown male suspect shooting at the mouth of the alley and fled the scene afterward in an unknown direction.

No one is in custody.

Area 1 detectives are investigating.
