$250K Bond For Woman Charged With Kidnapping Kids From Foster Parent

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A woman was ordered held on $250,000 bond Tuesday on charges of kidnapping her two young children from their foster parent last week in the Chatham neighborhood on the South Side.

Antoinette Knox, 26, took her two biological children--a 9-month-old boy and a 4-year-old girl--from their foster parent about 4:45 p.m. on July 17 in the 900 block of East 80th Street, according to a community alert issued by Chicago Police on Saturday.

Knox does not have legal custody of the children and took them during a scheduled supervised visit, the alert said.

The children were found on Sunday in good condition with Knox, police announced early Tuesday.

Knox, of the 8000 block of South Marshfield Avenue, faces two felony counts of child abduction.

She is next scheduled to appear in court July 28, according to the Cook County Sheriff's office.
