20-Year-Old Man Dies After Burnham Shooting

(CBS) -- A 20-year-old man died after he was shot Friday afternoon in south suburban Burnham.

The shooting happened about 2:30 p.m. Friday in a back alley in the 14500 block of South Yates, according to Burnham Police Chief Peter Belos.

Ramon C. Jackson was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he died at 11:25 a.m. Sunday, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. He lived in the 1500 block of Downs Drive in Calumet City.

An autopsy found Jackson died of complications from multiple gunshot wounds, and his death was ruled a homicide, according to the medical examiner's office.

Belos said no one is in custody in connection with the shooting as of Tuesday afternoon.
