Winter Weather Advisory In Effect For Chicago Area

(CBS) -- A winter storm is expected to dump two to four inches of snow on the Chicago area.

The National Weather service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Cook and DuPage counties in Illinois and Lake and Porter counties in northwest Indiana until 6 a.m. Sunday.

Temperatures are expected to drop throughout the day, with rain changing over to snow late in the afternoon. The overnight low is 19 degrees, with wind gusts up to 35 miles an hour.

Areas near the lake could see two-four inches of snow, with areas further inland more likely to get one to two inches.

Sunday should be drier with some sunshine but bitter cold temperatures, with a high of only 15.
