Girl, 17, charged with three robberies on CTA Red Line since September

A 17-year-old girl has been charged with robbing three people on CTA Red Line trains in Chicago since September.

Police said the girl, whose name was not released because she is charged as a juvenile, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with three counts of robbery and one count of aggravated battery.

She is accused of beating and robbing a 45-year-old man while on a Red Line train at the Garfield stop on Jan. 5.

She also is accused in a pair of robberies on Sept. 16, 2024 – including a 21-year-old man who was robbed on the platform at the Lake stop around 3:30 a.m., and a 22-year-old man who was robbed on a train at the Monroe stop around 6 a.m.

Court information was not immediately available for the girl.
