17-year-old charged in multiple armed robberies on Chicago's West Side

A teenage boy was charged in connection with four armed robberies on Chicago's West Side that took place in February and March. 

The 17-year-old was charged with three felony counts of armed robbery, and a felony count of aggravated battery, among other charges. 

The teen was arrested in the 1600 block of South Lawndale Avenue after Chicago police identified him as the suspect in at least four armed robberies between February 9 through March 31. The robbery victims ranged in age from 25 years old to 38 years old. 

The robberies took place at the following locations: 

  • 2100 block of S. Leavitt St. 
  • 1600 block of S. Lawndale Ave  
  • 1800 block of S. Millard Ave.   
  • 1900 block of S. Lawndale Ave
