16-Year-Old Girl In Critical Condition After Being Hit By Motorcycle

GLENVIEW, Ill. (STMW) -- A 16-year-old girl was struck by a motorcycle Sunday evening in north suburban Glenview, leaving both her and the driver in critical condition.

The accident happened about 7:15 p.m. at the intersection of East Lake Avenue and Robin Lane, according to a statement from Glenview police.

The girl was struck by a motorcycle driven by a 62-year-old man, police said.

Both were taken to Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge and remain in critical condition Monday afternoon.

Further details of the crash were not released, but the cause remains under investigation by police and the North Regional Major Crimes Task Force's Major Crash Assistance Team.

No charges had been filed as of Monday afternoon, police said.
