Boy, 16, Shot And Seriously Wounded In Altgeld Gardens
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A 16-year-old boy was shot and seriously wounded in the Altgeld Gardens community Wednesday night.
At 10:13 p.m., the boy was standing outside in the 13100 block of South Ingleside Avenue when a man dressed all in black came up and shot him, police said.
The boy was shot once in the chest and was taken to the University of Chicago's Comer Children's Hospital in serious condition.
There was no one in custody late Wednesday night. Area Four detectives were investigating.
