12-Year-Old Boy Charged In A String Of Armed Robberies

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A juvenile has been charged Tuesday in a string of armed robberies in Chicago's Near North 18th District.

The 12-year-old boy was placed into custody and charged Tuesday after being identified as the juvenile involved in a string of robberies on the 700-900 blocks on North Larrabee Avenue. The robberies took place at approximately 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 14, 15 and 19th, Chicago police said.

In these incidents, the offender approached male and female victims 24-58 year old, displayed a weapon and demanded property, said Chicago police in a press release.

No injuries were reported.
