Police Searching For Suspect Who Helped Steal More Than 100 Guns In Western Illinois

CHICAGO (CBS)—A man has been arrested and another man is being sought by police for stealing nearly 100 guns.

A federal complaint from the U.S. Attorney's office says 28-year-old Keith Winters and 18-year-old Miray Smith took dozens of guns from retailers in Monmouth and Galesburg—two cities in western Illinois.

Smith and Winters are facing several weapons charges.

Peoria police arrested Winters on Saturday, and he was being held in the Peoria County Jail. Smith is not in custody.
