1 Killed, 2 Wounded In Englewood Shooting

CHICAGO (STMW) -- One man was killed and two more were wounded in an Englewood neighborhood shooting Wednesday night.

Three men were standing outside in the 5700 block of South Green Street about 7:15 p.m. when they heard gunshots ring out and felt pain, police said.

A 24-year-old man was killed in the shooting, police said. The Cook County medical examiner's office confirmed the death but did not release additional details Wednesday night.

A 34-year-old man was shot in the abdomen and foot, police said. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition.

The third man, 41, was shot in the arm and taken to Stroger Hospital in fair condition, police said.

Police believe the shooting may have been narcotics- or gang-related.
