1 Killed, 1 Wounded In Roseland Shooting

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man was fatally shot and another was wounded Thursday afternoon in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side.

The men were in a backyard of a residence in the 11200 block of South Edbrooke at 1:12 p.m. when someone fired shots from an alley, according to Chicago Police.

A 22-year-old man was shot in the lower back and taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 2 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner's office and police. His name has not been released.

A 19-year-old man was shot in the right elbow and taken in serious condition to Roseland Hospital.
