1 Dead, 1 Wounded In Logan Square Shooting

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was killed and another wounded in a shooting Friday in the Northwest Side Logan Square neighborhood, according to Chicago Police.

The attack happened at 6:49 p.m. in the 2900 block of West Armitage Avenue, police said.

One man, 20, was shot multiple times and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The other man, 21, was shot in the leg and taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized, police said. He told investigators he heard shots and realized he'd been hit, police said.

The Cook County medical examiner's office could not immediately confirm the fatality.
