Zoom Working Again After Widespread Outages; CEO Apologizes
BOSTON (CBS) -- Working and learning remotely on Monday morning was made tougher for some because of an outage affecting Zoom services. The outage affected some Boston-area students who were starting online classes.
"We have received reports of users being unable to start and join Zoom Meetings and Webinars. We are currently investigating and will provide updates as we have them. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience," Zoom's verified Twitter account was telling users in response to service complaints.
Zoom said just after noon that meeting and webinar services were working again. CEO Eric Yuan apologized for the disruption on Twitter.
Today @zoom_us had a service disruption that affected many of our customers. We know the responsibility we have to keep your meetings, classrooms & important events running. I'm personally very sorry & we will all do our best to prevent this from happening in the future.

The Zoom outage comes at a time when schools and colleges are starting to resume classes. Boston University made note of the problems and offered potential workarounds on its website.
Students at UMass Amherst also reported Zoom being down.
That is absolutely correct ???? So sorry. We're working on it! (Though the Zoom thing is a national outage—because of course.)
