Zolak: 'Gooberish' For Peyton Manning To Pre-Plan Record Breaking Touchdown Celebration

BOSTON (CBS) - Between Saturday Night Live appearances, "Cut That Meat!" and countless other television spots, we already knew Peyton Manning was a bit of an actor.

That touchdown celebration on Sunday night, where the Broncos receivers played "keep away" from Manning with the ball that broke Brett Favre's all-time record?

Yeah, that was acting too.

According to Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas after the game, the celebration was pre-planned by Manning during the week.

98.5 The Sports Hub's Scott Zolak, and we're sure he's not alone, found the display to be very corny.

Zo being a former Patriot and knowing how it works here in New England in regards to the fan base, he is annoyed with it. Zo says the Patriots fans should also be annoyed with this act and that it should fuel them all to dislike him even more in two weeks when the Patriots face the Broncos.

"It's pathetic. It's taking away from the moment for me. It's 'gooberish,' I never expected it coming from him -- him of all people. It's just awful and it should make you hate him more in two weeks," argued Zo.

Andy Gresh didn't think it took anything away from the accomplishment, and simply chalked it up to Manning's "goofy" persona.

Zo disagrees.

"It's great to witness. It's unbelievable. His move was just douchey, that's all," said Zo.
