You May Hate The Canadiens But You Have To Love This Carey Price Hit On Chris Kreider [VIDEO]

BOSTON (CBS) -- I hate the Canadiens. But dammit I respect Carey Price.

The reigning Hart Trophy and Vezina winner is known for stopping pucks, but last night he made his physical presence felt against Chris Kreider of the New York Rangers. In case you missed it, Kreider injured Price in last season's Eastern Conference Finals when the Rangers winger slid into him in the crease.

Price obviously took exception to this, and got his payback Thursday night when Kreider tried to circle around the back of the net, where Price was dropping the puck off to a teammate. Price knocks Kreider on his ass in perhaps the most nonchalant way possible.

I know, I know, we're supposed to hate everything about Montreal over here. And make no mistake, I detest them. But I'm in favor of goalies doing this to players who ran them in the past 100 times out of 100. I wish goalies were still allowed outside the trapezoid - in that case I wish the trapezoid wasn't a thing. Patrick Roy used to do stuff like this all the time.

But of course I'll join everyone in the booing if Price ever does this to Patrice Bergeron.
