Yankee Candle Recall: Glass Jars Can Crack, Pose Laceration Hazard
DEERFIELD (CBS) – Yankee Candle has announced a recall of all its "Luminous Collection" candles because the glass jar can crack and possibly pose a laceration hazard.
The Deerfield candle-maker says the recall applies to the six Luminous Collection fragrances: Sea Salt & Coral, Blackberry & Sage, Apple Blossom & Melon, Sugarcane & Honey, Pine & Sandalwood and Cinnamon & Cedar.
The recall affects 31,000 products, all of which are square glass candles with three wicks. No injuries have been reported, but there have been 16 cases of the glass jar cracking.
The recalled candles should be returned to Yankee Candle for a full refund.
