Wrentham Outlets Boosting Security For Black Friday

WRENTHAM (CBS) -- Visitors to the Wrentham Village Premium Outlets can expect to see police officers with long guns, K9 units, and other stepped-up security measures this Black Friday.

The heightened security, which is in response to the recent Paris attacks as well as U.S. State Department warnings, will extend through the whole holiday season.

Wrentham police emphasized that there has been no specific threat toward the Wrentham Premium Outlet Mall, but they are being extra careful because the outlets are "recognized as an international travel and tourist destination."

Security cameras and a raised observation tower are just two of the measures shoppers will encounter, in addition to more going on behind the scenes.
