Teen's Selfie On Stolen Wrentham iPad Leads To Arrest

WRENTHAM (CBS) – Wrentham police used selfies that were taken on a stolen iPad to track down the device and arrest a teenage suspect.

An iPad was reported stolen from a car in Wrentham's west end on Monday.

Police say the victim logged on to his iCloud account from his computer and found several selfies that had been taken by an unknown person on the iPad.

Wrentham Police used the Find My iPhone app to locate a suspect in Woonsocket, R.I.

Officers went to the house of Ralphy Olivero, 19, in Woonsocket and found him and the iPad. Police say Olivero admitted to the Wrentham car break-in.

Olivero was charged with being in possession of stolen property.

A day after arresting Olivero, Wrentham detectives discovered that he had also recently pawned a Playstation with 10 games.

The items were allegedly stolen from a home in Woonsocket on December 29.
