Worker Struck, Killed By Van At Liquor Distribution Lot In Braintree

BRAINTREE (AP) — Authorities say a 74-year-old man has died after being struck by a van that was making a pickup from the United Liquors distribution facility in Braintree where he worked.

The Norfolk district attorney's office said Kenneth Montgomery was struck just before noon Tuesday in the parking lot. Montgomery was taken to South Shore Hospital where he died.

The van driver, who also worked for United Liquors, remained at the scene and has not been cited.

The accident is still being investigated by Braintree police and the district attorney's office.
