Worcester Surpasses Wettest July In Recorded History

WORCESTER (CBS) -- It's official. July 2021 is the wettest July on record in Worcester's recorded history.

As of Sunday afternoon, Worcester has recorded 12.67 inches of rain for the month. The previous record was 11.24 inches, set back in 1938.

Worcester also recorded 1.74 inches of rain on Sunday, setting a new daily record for rainfall in the city Sunday.

At the height of the storm on Saturday, more than 3,000 people in Worcester county were without power.
