The Worcester Police Department's Crash Reconstruction Unit took over the investigation due to the crash's severity.

Police said the crash is still under investigation, and that Brooks could see additional charges.

During Brooks' arraignment, prosecutors said the mother of two, who works as a bartender, stayed after her shift. Witnesses told police Brooks drank two beers and two shots of Fireball whisky.

Brooks' driving record includes crashes in 1994, 2002, and 2013, along with three other minor infractions.
