Worcester Man Arrested On 6th OUI Charge

AUBURN (CBS) -- Auburn Police arrested a Worcester man in what they say was his sixth drunk driving incident.

Scott Tatro, 41, was charged with OUI-liquor (sixth offense), operating after license suspended and subsequent offense, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.

He was held on $5,000 bail.

Police officers were called about a hit and run in the area of Route 20 at Millbury Street involving a black pickup truck. Moments later, a Massachusetts State Police trooper found Tatro in a nearby industrial park, in a vehicle that matched the description of the one involved in the hit and run.

Investigators say Tatro was highly intoxicated. He allegedly told police he had not been licensed to drive for 15 years, but intended to continue to drive because he "didn't care."

Tatro is expected to be arraigned in Worcester District Court on Tuesday.
