Police In Rhode Island Warn Parents To Check Halloween Candy After Needles Reportedly Found In Twizzlers

WOONSOCKET, R.I. (CBS) -- Parents in one Rhode Island community are being warned to carefully check their kids' Halloween candy. Woonsocket police said they received a report from a family who said they discovered needles in a bag of Twizzlers.

In happened in the Bernon section of the city.

"We are asking parents to check their children's Halloween candy vigilantly," police posted to social media.

Police are investigating the incident.
