Woman Shot On I-95 In Pawtucket

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (AP) — Rhode Island state Police are investigating an early morning shooting that injured a woman on Interstate 95 in Pawtucket.

Troopers say the woman was a passenger in a car and was shot at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday near Exit 26. Authorities say the gunfire appeared to have come from another car.

Police say the woman's injuries don't appear to be life-threatening. She's being treated at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. Her name hasn't been released.

No arrests have been announced. Police say they're looking for suspects, but don't have a description of the suspect vehicle.
